Changes? No, not quite.
A shorter, bit more light-hearted episode to start off 2017, a look at the “Mandela Effect” phenomenon. This is not a detailed examination of the claims, nor is it a thorough debunking, however. Instead, I briefly describe what’s going on and then give an example of how people have used basic updates to our knowledge about astronomy to make the claim that the entirety of reality has been rewritten but they remember it the way it used to be. (Yes, I wish I were making this up; no, I’m not making this up.)
I think I finally got the bugs in my microphone worked out, or at least a work-around to the bugs, and I think the audio sounds pretty reasonable for once. The episode has three additional segments, including the logical fallacy (argument from popularity), follow-up from episode 146 (Marshall Masters still is predicting Planet X will kill us all later this year), and an announcement that I Was recently on the podcast, “Monster Talk,” discussing Planet X.

There does seem to be a phenom of “shared false memory.” Which of the following famous lines from old movies was actually spoken as written?
– “Play it again, Sam.”
– “Let’s do the show right here!”
– “Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas any more.”
The answer is — none of them.

There is indeed such a phenomenon, but in some respects social media has made it much easier for people with “shared false memory” to band together and reinforce one another which is why the ‘Mandela Effect’ is a thing.
As a side note, I saw you got a shout out on the ’15 Credibility St’ podcast when they discussed the latest incarnation of Planet X (The one due to hit in October of 2017.). Keep up the good work.

Just as the space shuttle Challenger exploded, I distinctly recalled the TV announcer saying “Obviously a major emergency” , but he had said “Obviously a major malfunction”…… On another note, the Credible She Hulk on Facebook has shared a diagram showing that the Earth may be Cat. Not flat.
